Manulife US REIT-Sustainability Report 2019

Stakeholder Engagement One of MUST’s main sustainability goals is to maximise value for its stakeholders, namely investors, analysts, media, regulators, tenants, local community, Directors and employees. To promote regular engagement with these stakeholders throughout the year, we established a high- touch programme launching a wide variety of engagement initiatives tailored to meet the different needs of each stakeholder group. These regular engagements helped us to recognise the changing needs and concerns of our stakeholders, and also ensure that their interests are promptly met in our pursuit of good sustainability practices. Both the Manager and Property Manager obtain regular feedback from various stakeholder groups on their sustainability priorities, and MUST’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO) updates the Board of Directors quarterly on the performance of the portfolio as well as any new investments. From FY2020 onwards, the Board of Directors will meet at regular intervals.
